Monarch Education are currently recruiting Autism Specialist Teaching Assistants to support KS2 & KS3 Pupils in a SEND School in Bath.
The LSA works in a wide range of settings in the classroom, in the outdoor curriculum, craft sessions, sports, swimming and outdoor break times.
Supporting KS2 / 3 pupils with ASD and Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. The school are looking for someone who is team player, calm, patient and reliable and can follow instruction whilst also being pro-active and forward thinking in their approach.
A good sense of humour is a must and the ability to adapt very quickly as and when needed is necessary. The ideal candidate for this role will have : Experience or a willingness to work with KS2 / 3 students.
Experience of supporting young people with Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome in a school or care setting. Knowledge of behavioural management techniques
Be confident to use communication aids.
You will be supporting students on a one to one and small class basis. This is a full time temporary permanent position Monday to Friday and Term Time only.
