Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a NVH Attribute Leader role to be based at our office in Warwick.

Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers.

It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.

THE ROLE

The NVH Attribute Leader in the Vehicle Engineering (VE) Team is the technical expert leading the development of all aspect of NVH performance and Sound Quality of the vehicle.

He / she will be part of a small but very experienced NVH team, reporting to the Vehicle Engineering Attributes Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the project management of the NVH attribute for a couple of electric vehicle programmes.

Defining and aligning targets with the customer, owning the attribute delivery plans and delivering against them are some of the key deliverables in the role.

AREA OF RESPONSABILITY

Manage all aspects of the NVH attribute (Powertrain, Road Noise, Wind Noise, S&R, OSQ, HVAC)

Support the competitive landscape and target definition for the NVH attribute, ensuring targets are aligned with the customers and TTL engineering teams

Day to day management of the CAE team, ensuring efficient use of the toolset

Identify NVH related issues and support their resolution

Ensure gaps to target are clearly visible and closure plans identified

Support NVH attribute DVP including test facilities search / definition

Deliver up-to-date attribute documentation at programme gateways

Support the vehicle build phases in plant to ensure vehicle suitability to test

Ensure the vehicle builds timing and vehicle quantities, specifications support PMT requirements for DVP testing, development and attribute sign-off.

Present attribute status at programme meetings

Develop vehicle test plans to demonstrate functional and attribute performance to meet design requirements and programme targets

Conduct subjective vehicle evaluation and report out

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE

Candidate should be educated to a degree level in Mechanical Engineering, ideally with a focus in NVH.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in NVH in a relevant industry

Good understanding of NVH design rules and requirements

Strong Automotive Industry understanding / experience in vehicle attributes.

Demonstrable understanding of various vehicle commodities & (sub)systems

Proven ability to work with and manage cross-functional & multicultural teams.

Excellent Communication skills essential

Excellent relationship building, collaboration and negotiation skills

Being familiar with requirements management tools
