York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management (YTHFM) are looking for an approachable and flexible Assistant Facilities Manager to join our team in Malton.
The successful candidate should have a good understanding of managing staff and Facilities Services preferably in a Healthcare environment and must also be willing to undertake training and take development opportunities as they arise.
The post is for 22.5 hours per week however the working pattern can be discussed at interview as the department works across 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Additional hours may also be available at times, for those who wish to work them.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will engage with the Facilities team in Malton. You will be providing managerial support and guidance to the Facilities Supervisors on a daily basis and ensuring the Facilities Services are delivered in line with Service Specifications and key performance indicators.
The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team and as an individual, exercising initiative you must also have the ability to evaluate information making accurate decisions whilst working under pressure, but within set parameters and report to the Deputy Facilities Manager.
We are seeking a person who has good attention to detail, and is excellent, organised and flexible, working a range of shifts to support the service needs.
Previous experience is preferred but not essential.

YTHFM LLP is a partnership between York & Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management Limited.
