Support Workers Required to cover Day and / or Night Shifts Ref 15855
Full and Part Time Hours, Casual or Permanent Available.
You will be joining an established and experienced team providing rehabilitation and care within a supportive and loving home for a 11 year old child who has an acquired head injury.
Relevant experience and flexibility is desirable but not essential.
We have an established annual bespoke training package to support staff to meet the child’s needs as well as established mandatory training.
The role is underpinned by a set of core team values and requires you to work sensitivity with the child and her family.
You will undertake a wide range of duties relating to the care, personal and medical needs. Of importance is the commitment to supporting the child’s rehabilitation.
Duties will include supporting a full rehabilitation programme consisting of physiotherapy, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy, use of slings, hoists, management of epilepsy.
You will be required to undertake hydrotherapy sessions. You will be required to administer medication. The child communicates with the use of assistive technology.
The child enjoys going out, hydrotherapy, reflexology. There are plans to provide the child with accessible garden play equipment for the summer to support her enjoyment of the outdoors.
There is also the opportunity to attend the annual family holiday.
Hours of Work
Various hours are available part time, full time, casual or permanent.
Day Shift 06.30 19.30
Night Shift (waking night) 19 : 30 06 : 30
Although we may request that shifts are slightly altered at times to meet medical needs
Pay rates :
£12.00 per hour week night
£14.00 per hour weekend.
Applicants must have a full driving licence as they will be expected to drive the clients vehicle.
Due to the nature of the role an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
