About the Role

Our leading Residential Property, Farms & Estates department in Bath are looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant to join their successful and friendly team.

As a Conveyancing Assistant you will provide efficient and administrative support to the wider team and potentially develop further fee earning responsibilities as your role develops.

Main Responsibilities include :

  • Manage an administrative workload under the guidance of a fee earner
  • Provide administrative support to fee earners including file-opening, telephone management, filing / archiving, photocopying, email management, online portal management and dealing with post
  • Draft documents and bills, under supervision, using appropriate precedents and templates to accurately reflect fee earner instructions
  • Undertake basic legal processes, under supervision, such as obtaining relevant documentation, completing relevant forms and processing monies.
  • Manage the post-completion process.

  • Build relationships with fee earners and clients through hard work and excellent levels of responsiveness to requests
  • Provide administrative support for business development and marketing activities including booking facilities and refreshments, booking specialist, preparing presentation materials and associated marketing documentation
  • Attend RWK BD events where appropriate to provide support including greeting attendees, registering attendees and providing refreshment
  • Learn firm policies and business processes, ensuring compliance particularly with regards to confidentiality, security, data protection and file retention and destruction requirement
  • Knowledge :

  • Legal qualifications (LLB or cILEX) are desirable
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs A-C (Including English and Maths)
  • Skills :

  • Previous experience within an administrative role
  • Previous experience within a legal environment is desirable
  • Excellent organisation capability with the ability to effectively prioritise
  • Client service focused
