Fibre Community Partnership is a scheme within Openreach which looks to work with communities throughout the UK to co-fund the cost of bringing Full Fibre Ultrafast broadband into the heart of their community where there is no other mechanism to do so from Openreach.

Many of our communities are looking towards the DCMS Project Gigabit scheme for funding and the Fibre Community Partnership scheme has grown enormously in the last year and is no looking go build over 50k premises a year over the next few years.

The Business Development programme Professional will be responsible for supporting the Business Development of the FCP Product and delivering FCP Scorecard Business Targets.

They will work with the Business Development team to identify scale opportunities and strategic projects, build the business cases to progress and work closely with the Regional teams to secure voucher funding for FCP projects.

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Responsible for working with professionals across the business and local bodies across the UK to identify the right projects to push Rural FTTP further using Gigabit Vouchers.
  • Assist in the definition and management of the programme plan to execute the FCP programme strategy.
  • Defining Pilot definition, success criteria and measurement for continued Demand Led Scale pilots and ensuring there is a measurement and regular review of pilot progress.
  • Production of review and recommendations against pilot progress.

  • Setting out plans and making sure key delivery milestones are met and that contracted solutions are delivered right first time and within agreed timescales.
  • Own the overall customer experience of Business Development within FCP will be accountable for influencing the overall programme strategy to further improve both delivery and customer experience.
  • Managing a cross functional programme team to execute the plan and workstreams to agreed timescales and scope, working collaboratively across Openreach and partners.
  • Assisting with the development and implementing the governance structure of the programme for managing Business Development and Business Risk
  • Working with the Demand Stimulation teams to develop new marketing packages and executing delivery of this to support voucher take up.
  • Securing the target voucher funding through voucher projects and ensuring funds are allocated and collected by Openreach
  • You'll have the following skills & experience

  • Experience of Business Development processes and practices and the generation of business cases and management of business risk
  • Experienced practitioner of project and programme management tools and techniques and experience in managing risks through appropriate tools and techniques
  • Able to work with Operational workflow systems to monitor end to end delivery and mine MIS (Management information system) to support reporting.
  • Will be strong with Excel and PowerPoint to deliver programme updates and business development analysis.

  • A subject matter expert with an understanding of Openreach’s end to end delivery for the key Infrastructure Development programmes.
  • Communication skills- engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all level
  • Understanding of the DCMS (BDUK) intervention programmes and voucher schemes
