Job purpose :
In view of heightened expectations from regulators and to ensure a strong and consistent global control environment, the Prime, Futures and Securities Services (PFSS) business is enhancing its Business Controls Supervision (BCS) function.
This role will be part of the PFSS BCS Team, reporting to the local BCS site head.
The role will leverage technology to build / devise system alerts and dashboards to ensure a robust and preventative control framework in the Futures, Clearing and Collateral (FCC) business, in line with global enhancement initiatives across PFSS and Markets and Securities Services (MSS).
This role supports the oversight of controls processes functioning within the Front Office first Line Of Defense (LOD).
As a member of the PFSS BCS team, the candidate will work closely with FCC Business Management teams, Sales and Trading desk heads, as well as with cross functional teams including Product Control, Legal, Compliance, Technology, and Middle Office to achieve these goals.
Key Responsibilities :
Inventory existing end to end controls applicable to FCC.
Understand and support key regulatory policy and control initiatives.
Manage and improve business control metrics and key performance indicators.
Maintain detailed control documentation, procedures, key metrics and audit evidence.
Initiate and lead short, medium and long term projects to achieve the business control objectives.
Contribute to monthly / quarterly business control reviews and various control forums and Committee meetings as needed.
Act as chair / secretary to specific control and governance committee or forums in support of FCC.
Support internal and external audit management, deliverables requests, control issue identification, escalation, tracking, and reporting.
Support external regulatory reviews through maintenance and provision of controls documentation, and in providing timely responses in support of reviews
Extensive years of relevant work experience in FCC business or operations, Capital Markets, or related field
Deep product knowledge of Futures Clearing and Collateral (FCC) and / or Foreign Exchange Prime Brokerage (FXPB)
Knowledge of Dodd-Frank and MiFID regulations
Risk management (counterparty, operational)
Extensive years of work experience in large scale process improvement and re-engineering projects
