Job Description

Admin Assistant (Manufacturing Environment)- based Newcastle upon Tyne - 6 month contract

Responsibilities :

  • Reports to Lead Project Quality Engineer
  • Arrange & monitor client / 3rd party inspection activities relating to Newcastle manufacturing facility.
  • Document generation to support on-site client inspection activities
  • Input information into the inspection Matrix (Hold / Witness Points and NOI Distribution list)
  • Handle telephone enquires external & internal
  • Report / feedback issue’s to Quality team, Project team.
  • Interface with Customer / Third Party / Certifying Authority Representatives as required, for Project Team activities.
  • Liaises with the Project Managers, Project Engineers, Lead Project Quality Engineer, the Project Quality Engineer, in support of manufacturing inspection activities or issues raised.
  • Ensure client inspectors have been inducted, obtain correct permits.
  • A level of commitment and flexibility is expected
  • Participate in Quality Engagements
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the Lead Project Quality Engineer.
  • Raise NCRS when required
  • Qualifications

  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer competency in Excel, Word

  • Ability to use own initiative in prioritizing workload.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and equally as comfortable working alone.
  • Exposure to Primavera P6 would be an advantage but not essential.
