    The role

    You’ll join the People & Culture team, providing Learning support to the organisation. You’ll be mentored and managed by a Learning Partner and can expect to work collaboratively with all operational teams.

    No two days are the same and you should expect to work within a degree of ambiguity as we continually adapt to a growing and evolving business.

    The team are growing and learning together, adapting and flexing to the needs of the business and people.

    There is significant scope for this role to grow over time, provided you are prepared to work hard and make the most of a fantastic opportunity.

    As such you’ll need to confidently take ownership of your role and your own personal development. Of course, you’ll be supported along the way by a collaborative and helpful team!

    Key responsibilities include :

  • Work closely with the organisation and key individuals to develop and deliver learning and education programmes in parallel with DeepMind’s growth, core mission and unique culture.
  • Develop a deep understanding of DeepMind; enabling you to advise on content, practices and programmes that truly meet the needs of the groups, teams and individuals you are supporting and that drive the growth and success of this unique organization.
  • Work closely with the People and Culture Partners, Programme Managers and other key managers and leaders, creating a strong feedback loop to inform the development of future programmes in line with the evolving needs within DeepMind.
  • Create strong working relationships with our existing external partners, whilst identifying high calibre external partners to support and scale the Learning, Development and Education strategy.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the wider organisation on learning and development requirements, opportunities and solutions.
  • Take a systematic approach to assessing and analysing the effectiveness of working practices. Identify areas of improvement and own the implementation of potential solutions, to scale our learning programs and operations during fast paced growth.
  • Working closely with the People and Culture coordinators to : keep systems and trackers updated, run reports, schedule meetings & learning sessions and supporting with events as required.
  • Work with the People and Culture team to develop and run the marketing and communications of our learning programmes to the business.
  • Provide other key stakeholders with timely updates and other relevant information.

  • Supporting with ad hoc projects and proactively suggesting ideas for continuous improvement to the Learning, Development and Education offering.
  • About you

  • You have experience operating as a learning and development professional, preferably some of which was in a small but fast growing business
  • You are incredibly organised, used to working at a very fast pace and juggling many different tasks and projects, whilst at the same time ensuring impeccable attention to detail.
  • You’re proactive and see what needs to be done

  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy changeable environments where you can implement creative and innovative ideas.
  • You are able to act with confidence in a high performance culture, instilling trust in everyone you interact with, delivering well thought through solutions.
  • You can turn your hand to most things and if you don’t know the answer you are tenacious in finding out
  • You have a natural ability to build relationships with people, you put them at ease and create understanding. You enjoy spending time with people and have a strong sense of empathy
  • You are an effective advisor and coach, you enjoy working closely with teams to develop their skills and enhance team performance
  • You are resourceful and enjoy managing your own work and projects, carefully balance priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • You enjoy operating independently but love being part of a highly supportive and collaborative team. You share information and understand that succeed or fail, we do so as a team

  • You instinctively act with complete discretion and diplomacy, and apply sound judgement in responding to circumstances.
