We are looking for a Senior Financial and Tax Accountant to join our Finance function based at our Shared Service Centre in Manchester, UK.

The successful candidate will provide support to the Head of Technical Accounting primarily on the preparation of the statutory accounts, local legal requirements and tax compliance for Lonza entities across EMEA.

Key responsibilities :

Statutory accounting and compliance, including IFRS to local GAAP reconciliations.

Accountable for the quality of the monthly IFRS ledger and local ledger data.

Business support for the controlling teams. Assist with corporate projects (eg RDEC / grants / simplification / pension matters / dividend repatriation).

Perform other duties as assigned. Includes but limited to : insurance renewals, banking approvals, internal controls execution.

Liaison with external providers, including external auditors, banks, and tax authorities.

Key requirements :

Fully Qualified ACA or ACCA, or equivalent tax qualification.

Strong accounting experience with some prior tax experience.

Business level French essential, other European languages in addition would also be beneficial.

Graduate, and A level mathematics preferred but not essential.

Preferred area of study : Business Studies / Accountancy

Financial accounting including IFRS / SAP / HFM, some knowledge of UK and / or European tax legislation.

Experience with SAP and HFM preferable.

Self-motivated, innovative and open to learning other functions and participating in projects.
