Position Summary :
Our client is looking for a working from home MySQL DBA to join their shared service team and work remotely on large and critical systems.
This role is key in working within an established database support team across a range of clients and applications.
Job role and responsibilities :
As a MySQL DBA and member of the wider operations support team, you will play a key role within a team working on projects and database management for complex MySQL database environments.
Working closely with the Infrastructure and Applications team your work will include database performance, configuration, development and maintenance as well as helping to identify opportunity for service improvements.
You will react to and resolve incidents via Remedy (ITSM) call management system with strict SLA deadlines and perform planned releases both in and out of core business hours supporting a bespoke application.
You will also be involved in performing Change Management duties within Change KPI targets, concentrating mainly on major changes. Can be working from home.
Skills, qualifications, and experience required :
Managing large scale MySQL databases
Strong proficiency in MySQL database management
Service Delivery and Communication
Database Performance or Clustering and Administration
DBA Change management and implementation (CPMS / OneITSM)
