Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as Principal Engineer Field. The selected candidate will be motivated, energetic, and willing to learn.

The candidate will work on a small team supporting the Defense Weapons Systems. They will perform Ground Communications, Data Analytics Research, Development and Integration, Terminal maintenance, troubleshooting, testing and fielding at the following locations :

Langley AFB, VA

Beale AFB, CA

Warner Robbins AFB, GA

Positions are unfunded awaiting award.

Daily responsibilities include :

Product troubleshooting and repair as necessary on Cisco devices.

Assist and support visiting engineering teams installing software

Perform cyber patching, anti-virus updates and other Cyber related activities on the products

Support customer needs as required

Perform On-Call maintenance activities on a rotating basis

Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance, reliability, and security of the system including installing, upgrading, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration

Work well in a small team environment

Basic Qualifications

Must currently possess an active DoD Top Secret Clearance

Must have DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or greater

Knowledge of local area networking (LAN) fundamentals with specific experience working with Ethernet routers, switches, and protocols in TCP-IP based communications system

Strong IT skills in Windows, Linux, or Solaris platforms

Experience administering VMware (containers, storage and resources)

Familiar with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, etc.)

Familiar with x86-based server hardware and troubleshooting methods

Preferred Qualifications

CCNA / CISSP certified technician

Process orientation and strong skills in using and following documented processes / checklists.

Knowledge of military command, control, and communication systems.

Prior AF DCGS Experience to include military GEOINT and SIGINT domains to include U-2, Global Hawk, MQ-1 and MQ-9 sensors and processing, exploitation and dissemination (PED) architectures

Willing to work flexible schedule to maintain operational capability

Salary Range : $72, - $119,

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to basepay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
