You’ll join an encouraging team in supporting two people whom have varying needs and who live near Ashcombe Park in Weston-
super-Mare. You don’t necessarily need experience as we provide full training.
About the role
The individuals enjoy a wide range of activities. One individual is a wheelchair user and is supported 2 : 1, he is also deaf and uses Makaton.
Both individuals can present with behaviours that challenge. Full training will be given to support you in these aspects of the role.
Your day will involve supporting the individuals with everyday tasks, for example cooking, cleaning their homes and managing finances.

As a support worker you’ll also support people to do things in their community; from shopping and going on day trips to sport and visiting day centres.
If you’re new to health and social care, we provide full training including the nationally recognised Care Certificate. If you’ve experience as a care assistant or care worker in a care home, you’ll discover we provide plenty of on-

You’ll need good communication skills and a positive, patient approach. Respectful of people’s differences, you can build professional relationships and have a flexible approach.
You can work 24 / 7 shifts including weekends and evenings / nights. A full driving licence is essential.
