SO1 : £26,999 - £28,785 pa (2020 Pay Award Pending £27,741 - £29,577 pa)

2 x 37 hours per week (flexitime scheme in operation)

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The Department of Children’s Services would like to recruit 2 X permanent Internal Quality Assurers who are enthusiastic, competent and flexible.

You will be expected to demonstrate your ability to meet the special knowledge, experience, qualifications required for the role which will be used for shortlisting.

The key competencies we would be looking for in a suitable candidate ability to :

  • To internally quality assure delivery systems, processes and outcomes in order to maintain compliance with awarding organisations and other regulatory bodies such as Ofsted
  • To undertake quality assurance activities including exam invigilation, sampling of learner portfolios and observe a range of assessments taking place to monitor the consistency of assessment decisions and delivery standards and content across the curriculum.
  • To monitor the quality of the teaching staff’s work, through sampling of portfolios and observations of assessment practice, to ensure consistency of assessment decisions against national standards through sampling and review and assess the progress of learners throughout their programme implementing support to ensure timely achievement.
  • Essential Criteria Qualifications required

    The applicant must demonstrate at least 3 years recent experience in the vocational area and at and least 1 years’ recent internal quality assurance experience

    Essential : Assessor Award D32 / 33 or A1 award plus Internal Verification Qualification D34 or V1 or equivalent
