Provides expert content / professional leadership on complex Business Analytics assignments / projects. Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives.

Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders. Focuses on providing thought leadership within Business Analytics but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business.

Recognized internally as a subject matter expert.

The team’s main responsibility is supporting new specialties’ fee for value programs from the design to implementation to active support to evaluation.

Designing appropriate reimbursement models, measures and actionable reporting to ensure the success of these programs are the team’s goals main goal.

Technical / Experience

  • Knowledge of claim processing for all sites of services, fee for service, MCR understanding, etc...
  • Independently perform analyses and apply quality checks to ensure data integrity
  • Create ad hoc reports using various tools (SAS, SQL Server, Excel, Tableau, etc...)
  • Analytical / Synthesizing :

  • Ability to create and present actionable reporting that can be scaled and modified for specialty specific opportunities.
  • Recognize opportunities for data collaboration with matrix partners
  • Report development and execution
  • Maintain existing production reports while adding future enhancements
  • Ability to find root causes / opportunities within big data
  • Determine opportunities and identify solutions to increase analytical processing efficiency.
  • Communication / Leadership / Soft Skills

  • Strong ability to adapt to change and being proactive to identify discrepancies and respective solution strategies.
  • Ability to present complex issues effectively and efficiently to a wide variety of matrix partners
  • Ability to openly collaborate and envision the larger scope for projects, to enhance the program design and implementation ensure proper development and to aid downstream matrix partners.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Finance, Economics, Mathematics preferred, Clinical / Current Medical Coding and / or Public Health training a plus
  • Actuary experience welcome but not required
  • Financial / Clinical Experience (3-5 years minimum) in the managed care industry or Public Health Care; clinical / medical coding knowledge and experience
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset
  • Proven skill in understanding individual market dynamics (healthcare providers, employers, and competitors, skill / experience in quality / payment innovation programs, health plan performance, etc.
  • to set strategies / tactics to achieve both cost and quality objectives

  • Demonstrated excellence in leadership ability to engage and motivate in a high performance culture
  • Strategic thinker with both sound and broad business acumen
  • Experience working successfully in a matrix environment
  • Change leader who will be proactive in assisting in positive growth for the future
  • Knowledge of both the PPO and managed care environments, including product offerings, competitor offerings and healthcare provider value based reimbursement programs helpful
