Key responsibilities :

  • Working with other teams to ensure a smooth and accurate trade to payment process
  • Ownership over month end Middle Office controls for WF financial reporting
  • Producing risk and control reporting analysis for key business stakeholders
  • Providing assistance and support to the dealing desks and consistently working with other teams across the business specifically Finance, Treasury & Payments.
  • Providing assistance and support to the Trade Control functions within the team in particular, pertaining to the intraday reconciliations of trades booked via our vendors.
  • Monitoring funds due and settlement of Spot and Forward Financial Service contracts.
  • Monitoring client funds received to ensure onward payments are ready to be paid in good time, keeping to daily cut offs for each currency.
  • Covering of open positions, booking swap transactions and checking that trades are booked correctly.
  • Monitoring and managing client-facing exposure, ensuring risk management procedures are followed.
  • Contacting clients regarding their positions, deals / payments, margin calls and providing account summaries and breakdowns.
  • Wide range of problem solving and issue resolution.
  • Fails management, resolving issues and breaks across all Financial Service products
  • Completing daily regulatory reporting requirements (EMIR)
  • Skills and experience required :

  • Strong arithmetic and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel (competent with Pivot tables and V-Look ups)
  • Good knowledge of SQL and / or Macros would be desirable but not required.
  • Demonstrates effective time management and work organisation; engages in conversations with their colleagues to challenge priorities and agree a way forward effectively
  • Able to demonstrate strong communication skills through building mutually beneficial relationships both internally and externally and the ability to engage openly with people at all levels
  • Demonstrable experience processing, evaluating and resolving reconciliation issues.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience within a relevant role, preferably within an FX based industry.
