Head of Operations
We are looking for a Head of Operation who will be responsible for sourcing new customers and maintaining relationships with existing high value customers and sales agents on a permanent within the PPE manufacturing industry.
Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic which has exposed the weaknesses in the global health systems, we are looking to appoint a Head of Operations for this newly established company to have full ownership of its manufacturing facility.
The role will report direct to the CEO and have responsibility for direct reports and indirect members of staff.
Requirements & Responsibilities :
Responsible for the machine shops and associated manufacturing processes.
Direct responsibility for designing and implementing the production strategy.
Direct responsibility for the machine operators who work on the manufacturing / production line.
Providing plans for improvement opportunities on processes and more efficient manufacturing.
Drive the business forward through the successful implementation of new ideas and processes.
Ensuring the generation and capture of relevant data and the use of data to drive process improvement.
Responsible for increasing output, improve efficiencies and introduce new technologies.
Workplace ergonomics to ensure compliance with H&S legislation and company procedures.
Previous experience using industry standard databases and timings advantageous.
Improving OEE (Overall equipment effectiveness) through successful delivery of capital investment projects.
Working with the design team, managing buying and improving machinery through looking at old and new specifications and getting it right first time.
Proven ability in extensive experience and maintenance KAIZEN, CNC machinery and Capex experience with a successful track record.
Familiar with design release, version control, BoM requirements of ISO9001
Identify strategy improvement of production equipment.
Ensuring the company’s compliance to all UK manufacturing and operational standards. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experiences :
Educated to degree; Engineering and Business administration desirable.
A 'hands-on' production professional, who possess an in-depth knowledge of precision engineering / manufacturing processes and can work on own initiative in a high-pressure environment.
Exceptional people management skills and teamwork abilities and the ability to build a good working relationship with Senior Production staff and acknowledge their valuable input to the team.
Katana manufacturing software experience desirable including materials handling knowledge and manufacturing process knowledge.
Microsoft Office 365 knowledge is essential.

Position : Permanent / Full time
Work Hours : 40 hrs week and occasional as required by management
Salary : £35,000.00-£40,000.00, per year
