The Role

The Process and Performance specialist will provide support to the Head of Process and Performance by monitoring and reporting on procurement and supplier management delivery and ensuring FCAs requirements are met through deployment of best practice process.

Application of a mix of specialist and operational knowledge to ensure that delivery is compliant with FCAs processes and all applicable public procurement regulations.

Assist the Head of Process and Performance by being responsible for implementing the tools required to report performance of the department.

What does the role involve? What are the key responsibilities?

Report the governance position and Procurement performance including issue and risk management. Support the department to deliver agreed strategic outcomes by monitoring and reporting on targets and procurement KPIs.

Collate and track progress and position of training requirements and identifying where gaps, reporting these to the Head of Process and Performance.

Play an important part in supporting the implementation, application and enforcement of process compliance to FCA, public procurement and other applicable regulations, by communicating the requirements, supporting the training of the procurement team.

Working proactively to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote the role of Procurement.

Deputise where required and attend senior meetings to report on the performance of the procurement team.

Support the business system strategy for procurement and support the Head of Process and Performance to build of any business cases for investment in technology to support a more efficient way of working.

Ensure that Procurement functional and process requirements are met within the Supplier on-boarding and P2P processes.

Support the knowledge management strategy for procurement, developing and delivering processes, systems and capabilities, ownership for the procurement documentation, identification of gaps, development of solutions to fill the gaps.

  • Experience working within public procurement regulated and Grovernment Framework procurement processes
  • Strong stakeholder management - both internal and external
  • Evidence of managing information with process and purchasing regulations
  • Desirable :

    Professional knowledge (Functional knowledge) :

  • Experience of monitoring and administering governance and reporting processes including redevelopment and enhancements
  • Strong knowledge of the use of procurement / purchasing systems
  • Experience working within public procurement regulated and Government Framework procurement processes
  • Business expertise :

  • Sufficient procurement process knowledge is required to ensure processes are appropriate for FCA and fully compliant
  • Leadership :

  • There is no specific requirement for leadership skills however there is a level of skill required in building relationships with and influencing key business stakeholders as well as peers within procurement
  • Able to demonstrate to peers and seniors appropriate behaviours, values and technical best practice across procurement to enhance the customer experience
  • Problem solving :

  • Ability to make logical and timely decisions, cutting through complexity and seeing the big picture. Strong business acumen and ability to seek support where needed
  • Nature and Area of impact :

  • By having responsibility for supporting and delivering performance reporting the visibility to the business would be high
  • Ability to influence and support others will likely have an impact on the business
  • Can be relied upon to deliver and clearly demonstrates the business and professional values
  • Key interfaces (interpersonal skills) :

  • There will be key interfaces with Head of Process and Performance, category managers, sourcing teams, supplier management and a broad range of internal functions such as legal, finance, IT and specialist functions

    This role is graded Associate (FIN C)

    The salary range will be approximately £30,000 - £54,000 GBP plus a competitive benefits package and non-contributory pension
