An exciting opportunity has arisen for x2 permanent Lecturers in Games Production to join the team!

The School of Computer Science and Informatics is based within the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media. It offers a wide range of courses to other undergraduates and postgraduates in line with emergent demand and the nature of these fast-moving, competitive disciplines.

Due in the first place to the international nature and high influence of the school’s academic research.

The Role

The Lecturer in Games Production role will be responsible for supporting and teaching of modules on both Games Production and Computer Games Programming courses.

This role will be responsible for development and planning of modules on both courses, including its content. This may be redesign or creation of new modules.

The role holder will also be expected to deliver to students as well as providing support for learning activities.

This role may also include some research opportunities.

The Person

Ideal candidates will have expertise and experience in Unreal Engine, its development workflows and have an excellent knowledge of blueprints.

A portfolio of work which demonstrates this expertise is essential. Knowledge of Unity3D, C++, shader programming and linear algebra will also be desirable.

Experience of teaching in higher education, or equivalent industrial experience will be ideal.
