I am currently working on behalf of a market leading care provider that is currently seeking to appoint an Area Manager to join their management team covering the Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire region and being based in Bedford.
This organisation are looking for an Area Manager who can provide inspirational leadership, development and direction across this service area, ensuring the achievement of operational excellence and compliance that maximise people, quality and business outcomes.
Area Manager duties will include :
Working closely with the Regional Director to support the development and further growth of the region and have a distinct approach to developing practice expertise
Create a clear, effective and regular two-way communication across your area, so that all colleagues understand and support the delivery of the business plan, achievement of its objectives, and delivers against the providers mission and values
Ensure all staff, including direct reports, are managed and supported to perform at their best through regular 1 : 1s, annual reviews, and coaching
Ensure CQC standards are met and maintained as well as making sure quality care is delivered
Work with Local authorities to implement sustainable new services and secure void fills.
Work with Service Managers to ensure efficient utilisation of resources and capacity.
Area Manager skills required :
Have a proven track record of working at a similar Area Management level within residential or supported living services
Have worked with and have extensive knowledge of learning disabilities and autism and other conditions associated with the client group
Experience of developing strong relationships with the people we support, families, staff and others built on trust and respect
Ability to manage and motivate individuals and teams to achieve high levels of performance
Strong knowledge of Care Standards and Care Act 2014, safeguarding, DOLS / MCA and regulatory frameworks
Holds NVQ Level 5 or equivalent
