Role Purpose : Do you have secretariat experience with the ability to take minutes? We are currently looking to recruit a proactive and motivated Administrator to join an Alternative Home Area Network (HAN) team in the City of London.

The successful candidate will take on a wide range of tasks to provide exceptional service to the Alt HAN stakeholders. The role involves building relationships with the client, supporting key projects within the Alt HAN Programme and providing high quality secretariat services.

The role will provide an opportunity to develop and expand skills through the development of project workstreams and the production of papers, minutes and presentations.

Whilst this may be an administration orientated role, it offers the opportunity to learn hands-on about the utilities industry and offers fantastic networking opportunities for those looking to build a career within the utilities and energy sector.

  • Supporting the general management of stakeholder committee meetings, Boards and facilitating industry / contract events;
  • Produce meeting minutes, providing secretariat services for regular meetings;
  • To support and collaborate with other project stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the programme;
  • Assist in drafting of documentation, including procedures, presentations, consultation responses and documents to support project management;
  • Liaison with industry stakeholders, including regulatory and governance bodies;
  • Maintaining strong client relationships;
  • To create reports and assist with project communications as necessary;
  • Provide support on projects, taking responsibility for predefined tasks.
  • Experience Required :

  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal and numeracy
  • Practical experience using Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organisational skills, with a focus on attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Being a team player, who has interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with employees at all levels
  • Ability to produce clear concise minutes of technical meetings;
  • Candidates who are confident and willing to present to stakeholders and other employees
  • Ideally, we are looking for candidates to have an interest or exposure to the UK retail utilities industry, preferably electricity, gas or UK smart metering
