An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Manager to join our centrally based Marketing department . The salary is dependent on previous experience and up to £40k with a 10% bonus & Corporate Benefits Package.
As a Product Manager, you are responsible for the commercial development of a designated product areas managing a range of products and suppliers to achieve corporate goals.
Your challenge also includes involvement in the production of the annual catalogue and the development of a focused plan to drive sales of your catalogue sections.
Study your market share, market evolution & trends and undertake product level analysis of your range of product (and your competition).
Define the strategy alongside the Category Manager for your product range in line with corporate goals.
Analyse results (sales, margin, evolution, promotions ) of your product range.
Negotiate the buying conditions with suppliers (Cost price, payment terms, stock returns, etc.).
Conduct supplier meetings using the Supplier Performance Improvement Programme.
Research product categories & determine catalogue selection producing a category action plan for your catalogue sections.
Produce the annual catalogue lay-out with the Marketing Communications team.
Work out the tariffs and price setting in order to reach turnover and margin goals, taking competitor analysis into account.
Determine lay-out and follow-up of promotional programmes (field, corporate, telesales or Web Shop promotions).
The Ideal Candidate
University degree, preferably in Marketing, Economics or Business Administration.
Fluent in French being desirable
A commercial background is an asset.
Good negotiating skills & attention to detail.
Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
