The role

Reporting to the Merchandising Director, you will oversee the Merchandising Planning for UK, Europe & North America across the Wholesale, Franchise and e-comm channels.

The successful candidate will have experience in both Merchandise Planning with experience in wholesale, in a multi-channel business and will be ready to lead the wholesale planning department to deliver its strategic objectives & goals.

What will I be doing?

  • Deliver sales and profit budget with agreed objectives across all channels : Franchise / Wholesale / E-comm / Licensing
  • Work closely with Heads of Sales to formulate annual Sales Plans for all regions and channels - define sell in targets and initiatives to achieve and exceed budgets across all channels
  • Accurately forecast monthly shipments with clear visibility of planned deliveries
  • Strategise and present go to market plan for all regions and channels
  • Continue to develop existing, on profile, customers by identifying new planning initiatives
  • Provide in depth analysis to negotiate business terms with partners
  • Work closely with Sales team and accounts to review business and action initiatives to drive sales
  • Ensure brand presentation meets expectations across all products taking into account regional / local requirements
  • Analysis of key accounts sell through reports and proactively identify sales opportunities
  • Closely manage performance against budgets : provide accurate, weekly and monthly progress reports
  • Oversee the management and product ranging of new store openings or partner launches.
  • Forecast and manage monthly sales plans for all locations to be used as basis for seasonal open to buy projections
  • Set-up and maintain partner WSSIs with the team to manage in-season open-to-buys by re-projecting the balance of the season after actualizing each month and minimising seasonal terminal stock & cancellation.
  • Produce and analyse weekly trade reports, proposing actions to drive increased sales, profitability, and Sell thru at class and department level
  • Proactively manage the Continuity program, highlighting & proposing replenishment opportunities.
  • Drive merchandising weekly reporting and analysis provide key trade support to D and C-group level.
  • Lead Business overviews during market
  • Lead calls / meetings with the Partners to recap the current business and provide analysis to enable discussions regarding historical sales and incentive performance and use this to make suggestions to drive the business forward
  • Oversee and champion the management of One Pool of Stock strategy and mentality to ensure most efficient stock management and sales opportunities are met across all business channels.
  • Lead by example, nurturing the team's development, encouraging a learning environment and internal progression.
  • Monitor the team’s overall output and workload and identify and implement strategies to deliver / increase productivity.
  • Continually review processes and systems within the department and make recommendations for changes to support business goals and growth.
  • Ensures productive relationship between Planning team and Merchandising / Buying / Production and Logistics teams to ensure order book fulfilment.

  • A passionate and driven individual who understands and captures the heart of our Brand Values to the fullest.
  • An extensive background in Planning with a broad understanding of Omni channel approach across Franchise / Wholesale & E-comm.
  • Strong understanding of the brand and thorough knowledge of the UK, European and North America market, trends and shopping habits.
  • Immaculate attention to detail including exceptional use of Excel / Google Sheets as well as other Microsoft & Google software.
  • Confident, articulate and professional speaking abilities particularly when it comes to liaising with Senior Managers & Directors in the Brand - keeping things simple and concise.
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships internally and externally, with a keen eye on market competition and opportunities.
  • Demonstrates a high level of commercial acumen, and is able to balance trading requirements with our strategic priorities.
  • Experienced manager and is self aware with a confident approach to people management. Able to inspire, empower and influence others to encourage them to be their best at all times, leaves a positive impact.
  • Can demonstrate putting the customer at the heart of all strategic decisions, is customer centric and embedded this sentiment through the team.
  • An appetite for making great things happen through business change, challenging the status quo to be innovative, working at pace.

    Studio Location. Approximately a 10 minute walk from Liverpool Street Station and a 5 minute walk from Shoreditch High Street.
