We are looking to recruit two dynamic and motivated Deputy Divisional Directors for our Emergency & Surgery directorates.

The Deputy Divisional Director role is a key senior management and leadership position with the responsibility and accountability to manage, develop, direct and lead service improvement and performance strategies and policies to ensure delivery of high quality, safe, efficient and effective patient care across the hospital site.

The postholders will play a significant role in integrating the services that operate between the Trust’s Weston and Bristol sites, following the organisational merger of Weston Area Health Trust and University Hospitals Bristol in April this year to form University Hospitals Bristol & Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW).

This challenging and varied role requires the leadership of an individual with a proven track record of delivering performance coupled with the skill and credibility to lead a team to deliver the portfolio.

Working as part of the senior management team, you will be accountable for the business and operational management of the Division.

To succeed in post you will be capable of delivering challenging performance targets alongside leading key transformational projects to meet the Trust’s efficiency and quality objectives.

You must have demonstrable experience in a senior operational managerial role, preferably within the acute NHS.
