Key Responsibilities

  • Development of change management strategies, translating into development activities, resource and culture plans
  • Support the UK Head of HR Business Partner on the People Agenda and related initiatives for the business areas
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional service to clients in all activities
  • Drive a high-performance culture by challenging management teams to appropriately apply a breadth of performance and development principles when making people planning decisions and strategies
  • Act as an enabler in building organisational capability through leadership / staff review, talent pipelines and compensation reviews
  • Take ownership of all employee relations cases, trade union discussions and other areas where HR expertise is required to minimise risk, with the support of the HR Advisor
  • Act as the employment legal expert and provide timely advice on matters, following-up with managers to make sure their intervention has been successful
  • Ensure that managers have the tools and access to advice needed; be visible
  • Work with the Recruitment & Talent Lead with processes to drive the growth of internal capability, progression of key internal talent and cost-
  • effective recruitment of external talent

  • Run and lead the annual reward process
  • Attraction & Retention of Talent :

  • Driving the strategic hiring of senior talent into the Service Lines in partnership with the internal Recruitment team. Overseeing the talent acquisition at all levels including Next Generation.
  • Including providing statistical analysis on recruitment, interviewing senior candidates, etc.

    People Management :

  • Is constantly visible and accessible to the leadership and HR teams and is recognised as a people management expert through coaching and role modelling of CBRE culture and behaviours
  • Ensures relevant employees are appraised at least twice per year and from this development plans are put in place and followed through
  • Work with the HR Shared Services / Admin / Payroll teams to ensure that a consistent and reliable HR support service is maintained, as well as supporting the HR team to be successful
  • Is a go -to role model for the wider HR team, specific focus on ER capabilities
  • Leads a culture of co-operation and teamwork ensuring that staff are recognised and rewarded as appropriate
  • Change Management :

  • Identifying and delivering organisational change where required across the Service Lines.Address a broad spectrum of people matters through management, engagement and support for leaders resolving matters in a professional manner in adherence with the company’s policies.
  • Client Relationship Leadership :

  • Responsible for the overall HR strategy of the business area
  • Works collaboratively with other HR and business leaders, role modelling the occupier approach and communicating the benefits of the business
  • Is accessible and responsive to clients at all times, if appropriate
  • Talent and Learning :

  • Leading annual talent management review and facilitating decision making to ensure Talent Management is effective. Ensure a robust approach to succession is embedded.
  • Deliver bespoke learning offerings based on the need’s analysis of the business
  • Proactively work with SV’Ls to improve employee engagement, acting on results of employee surveys and providing innovate solutions
  • Managing, coaching and delivering the key annual people process of performance management process and promotion processes
  • Employee Relations :

  • Take ownership of all employee relations cases and provide timely advice on matters, minimising risk, with the support of the HR Advisor.
  • Handling disciplinary and grievance cases as necessary.

    Data Analytics :

  • Support the SVL’s in terms of the people analytics required for reporting and providing qualitative thoughts and understanding to the metrics.
  • Continually improve in this area.

    Payroll :

  • Work in partnership with the Payroll team to deliver the monthly payroll cycle.
  • Culture :

  • Person Specification / Requirements

  • Experience working within Real Estate / Financial background would be an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and strong proven business partnering capability
  • Client centric, takes a true business partner approach
  • Creative problem-solving skills, ability to manage complex change issues
  • Demonstrated ability to develop proven HR programs that align to business strategies
  • Commercial acumen and a pragmatic approach
  • A strong team player and ability to see big picture
