Internal IT Project Manager required for one of the UK's largest and most succesful defence / engineering companies. For this position they are happy for candidates to be based at home, but candidates must be willing to travel to company site when needed!
As an Internal IT Project Manage you will have an internal focus, you will lead on projects within Group IT across the business.
These projects are critical to the realisation of the companies new IT infrastructure and processes.
All candidates must be eligible for Security Clearance.

Key Responsibilities for Internal IT Project Manager :
Meet customer satisfaction by ensuring delivery milestones and service delivery metrics are met.
Ensure effective programme management practices through process definition, improvement and effective governance.
Ensure the timely progress of workstreams. Help remove barriers to progress.
Support and coach project teams to ensure that they can deliver.
Build business cases for projects, including resource requirements, costs and benefits.
Develop the plan to migrate each OBU to the new infrastructure, system or tool
Ensure that fundamental metrics are accurately forecast, planned for, measured and achieved.
Input to the annual budget cycle, providing insight and challenge to the proposals as appropriate
Reviewing on a monthly basis project overheads to ensure that costs are in line with forecasts and measures can be taken to address areas of overspend or anomaly
Ensure programme and project reviews are regularly and effectively conducted to drive, plan, monitor and control the delivery of programme to schedule, budget and to the agreed quality level
Drive change initiatives in order to meet strategic objectives.
Improve business processes to ensure the organisational maturity required to deliver strategic objectives.
Organise the tasking of non-direct reports as part of the project management process.
Carry out any other duties as reasonably required.
Role Requirements :
Primarily UK based but flexibility to travel within the UK, and internationally (USA, Canada).
Ability to lead the delivery of international projects in a matrix style organization
Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Capable to role model and inspire and act quickly
Ability to drive change.
Understanding of best practice in project management
Strong leadership ability
Full driving license. Holds or has the ability to obtain security clearance at SC level.
Skills & Qualifications Required for Internal IT Project Manager :
Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
Experienced project / programme manager
Experience leading complex projects
