We are looking for a research assistant to work on projects studying chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, focusing on the links between bacterial infection and inflammation.
You will be involved on multiple clinical research projects involving (a) the recruitment of COPD patients (b) collection of clinical information (c) physiological testing (d) blood and lung sample collection (e) sample analysis.
You will have overall responsibility for the organisation of clinical visits, including liaison with patients and staff, collection of clinical data and data entry.
This study will be performed in a multidisciplinary clinical environment. You should hold a biological sciences degree (or equivalent) with have the following experience : leading and managing clinical research teams, up-
to-date theoretical and practical knowledge in lung function testing including specialist qualification in lung function testing (e.
g. ARTP practitioner), COPD research.
