    Role Summary

    The Digital Marketing Manager is accountable for the production and delivery of the digital marketing strategy for Newmedica which is effective in communicating the Newmedica Brand and its services to drive business performance.

    The Digital Marketing Manager will play a key role in the Newmedica marketing team and will formulate a Digital and Social Media strategy to engage with Newmedica’s referral base and patients.

    This will involve leveraging the expertise of the wider digital and marketing community across the Specsavers Group. Delivery of the strategy will build business awareness, credibility and ultimately increase referrals.

    By monitoring digital and social media channels, the Digital Marketing Manager will exploit opportunities to promote our consultants and the Brand.

    The Role

  • Design and deliver a digital and social media strategy to engage with ophthalmology referrers and patients
  • Be the guardian of the Newmedica Social media channels including LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook
  • Oversee and implement the Newmedica digital and social media strategy
  • Plan activity to educate Opticians on the benefits of driving referrals to ensure customers are referred to in the number 1 provider of NHS-funded ophthalmology services Newmedica
  • Design and deliver content for sharing and engaging with referrers and patients
  • Monitor and optimise the digital cx journey and performance.
  • Use digital channels and social media to build the reputation of Newmedica consultants and the Brand.
  • Monitor social media commentary and competition activity.
  • Respond to replies and comments from patients and referrers
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to design and launch marketing campaigns across numerous channels and marketing methods.
  • Maintain strong content on Newmedica Google pages to improve information to patients and referrers, monitoring performance.
  • Find relevant articles for clinical commentary to promote the Brand.
  • Establish a calendar of media messages dovetailing into national events including relevant podcasts and virtual meetings.
  • Regular analysis of referral data to identify areas of opportunity and to establish best practices following successful engagement activity.
  • To clearly promote Newmedica’s Vision and the benefits of our services to referrers and where possible to the patients.
  • Work with Newmedica Partners to deliver the right messages at the right time working with the marketing manager to ensure a joined-up approach.
  • Analyse the response and reactions to campaigns and posting to inform the business on new campaigns and postings.
  • Work closely with the Digital and Social Media team in Specsavers to identify joint campaign opportunities.
  • Achieve top SEO rankings for high volume search terms like : Cataracts, Glaucoma & YAG Laser
  • Write supporting news and blog content to support the visitor research and decision-making process
  • Drive new customer inquiries for information packs, virtual events, in-bound calls and online enquires
  • Monitor and optimise the customer funnel : Marketing Investments >

  • Investigate the use of online partnerships and affiliates.
  • Invests time to ensure that their own personal development is integrated into personal objectives / goals and that their personal development plan is both challenging and reviewed on a regularly basis.
  • Skills & Experience required

  • Proven experience in utilising SEO Search Engine Optimisation
  • Proven experience in Lead Generation Activity
  • Proven experience in PPC Paid Per Click activity
  • Proven experience in Funnel Optimisation
  • Ability to organise and plan virtual events
  • Experience in utilising Social Media for marketing campaigns and posting / responding to comments
  • Ability to analyse campaign data and Google analytics to support future planning
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Ability to Influence and negotiate with people at a senior level
  • Ability to deliver presentations to small and larger groups
  • Proven experience of action planning
