We are looking for excellent communicators and individuals who are able to listen carefully, build rapport quickly and easily whilst demonstrating both patience and empathy.
You will communicate clearly over the phone whilst at the same time using your excellent spelling and grammar skills to accurately type member responses at speed.
Excellent customer service experience is essential and working in an office environment using Microsoft Office packages would be advantageous.
About the role
You will be responsible for calling farmer and grower members and asking them to take part in a variety of research projects.
You will be listening and recording our member responses to understand their views and experiences on a wide range of topics that affect how your food is grown and gets to your plate.
You will accurately input all information into our survey system or on an internal database and full training will be provided.
In between telephone research projects you will also be playing a key role in accurately updating our records to ensure our farmer and grower members are kept informed of how the NFU support them and their businesses.
Previous experience of telephone research or the farming industry is not required.
We recognise that some applicants may wish to work flexible hours within the core hours of 9 : 00am 5 : 00pm Monday to Friday, and we welcome discussions regarding this.

We are currently piloting a hybrid working’ scheme that gives colleagues the choice of working from home for up to 3 days a week, with other working days being from the office in Stoneleigh HQ, subject to successfully completing a probationary period.
It is important that successful candidates have their own transport, as public transport is not frequently available to the beautiful work setting of Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.
