About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and engaged individual to join Swiss Re Group Asset Management. The position will be part of the team responsible for infrastructure debt investments across sectors and geographies.

Investment professional for infrastructure project finance in the team responsible for private infrastructure debt. The successful candidate will support the Head of Infrastructure Finance in implementing initiatives relating to infrastructure debt lending activities.

As a member of an international team of investment professionals your main tasks will be focused on further enhancing Group Asset Management's lending operation in the infrastructure project finance market.

Core focus will be to support the review of infrastructure debt transactions within established investment portfolios in conjunction with existing investment management platforms.

You will assist in the origination and lead the due diligence and execution process for transactions. You will be based in London.

Key Accountabilities

  • Review and assessment of private financing deals in the pipeline originated by existing investment managers relationships as well as internally
  • Detailed analysis of project finance transactions, writing investment credit memoranda, including analysis of legal, technical and market due diligence, interrogating financial models including scenario analysis and detailed review of transaction documentation

    Establish and maintain a robust investment process and governance framework for internally sourced transactions as well as conducting portfolio monitoring tasks, including quarterly / annual reviews of transactions, analysis of the existing portfolio and reporting on industry trends

    Staying abreast of key players and market developments, contribution to formulation of investment views and strategies, active participation in regular investment meeting.

    About You

  • Strong analytical skills and natural interpersonal communication capabilities. International market experience is a plus.
  • Specific skills and personality requirements are :

  • Minimum of 5 years' bank experience in a project finance department, preferably in a front-office role
  • Must be comfortable in dealing with clients and external parties
  • Strong understanding of technical, legal, commercial and accounting aspects of infrastructure projects, including credit assessment, transaction modelling and execution
  • Commitment to highest ethics and standards of professional conduct in the investment industry
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skill set, including pertinent software know-how
  • Strong communication and project management skills with attention to detail
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English, other languages a plus
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, international environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel
