An excellent opportunity for a Service Manager has arisen to join this ambitious and growing healthcare provider with a great ethos and reputation on a 3-month Fixed Term Contract.
My client takes pride in providing good quality care and support for adults with Mental Health and learning disabilities, providing long-term accommodation and care in residential and supported living care services.
They are looking for a strong Service Manager with experience of supporting people with learning disability or mental ill health who required practical and / or emotional assistance and support to develop friendships and relationships who can go in and hit the ground running.
Service Manager Responsibilities :
As the Service Manager, you will manage a number of services with the responsibility for leading teams to provide support to people with a range of low to high support needs.
You will coach and mentor your team to embrace a person-centred approach; to enable the people we support to achieve their full potential, goals and aspirations.
You will lead and quality assure the safe achievement of supported individual’s planned outcomes in community connection, health and wellbeing, education and employment ensuring that high standards of person-centred support is continuously developed and maintained, working with families, the local community and other providers.
The ideal candidate will have :
Experience of supporting people with learning disability or mental ill health who required practical and / or emotional assistance and support to develop friendships and relationships· Experience of developing strong relationships with individuals and families built on trust and respect
Experience of leading teams to embed person centred working
Experience of managing budgets
Experience of developing teams and managing shift rotas
Experience of leading change within large teams and improve the quality of support provided
Knowledge of Essential Care Standards, Safeguarding and regulatory frameworks
Management qualification or relevant qualification
Knowledge of Welfare Reform / benefits
Able to motivate others and build their confidence to try new things, meet new people, organise others to get things achieved
Able to lead, manage and motivate the team you work with and embed values and behaviours within the team
Able to analyse information in order to write succinct and accurate reports
Recognise strengths and weaknesses within the team / individuals and support colleagues when required
Prepared to travel to services / offices and work occasional unsocial hours.
Prepared to take part in the Out of Hours on call rota

Previously successful candidates have come from an established Service Manager Position and have experience working within a transforming care setting supporting people with Mental Health, Challenging Behaviour or Complex Needs for Adult services.
