Role Description

The Department of Chemistry () seeks applications for a Chair in Inorganic Chemistry from outstanding individuals with demonstrated research excellence in organometallic mechanism and inorganic catalysis.

The position will be within the Inorganic Chemistry group, which has strengths in catalytic and mechanistic organometallic chemistry, bio-

inorganic chemistry and photocatalysis.

You will be a dynamic research leader with a proven track record and will work alongside colleagues in the department in helping York further enhance its very strong reputation in both research and teaching.

You will be expected to play a significant role within the research theme of Synthesis, Catalysis and Mechanisms, and to contribute to the teaching of these subjects at York.

With a PhD in Chemistry and an internationally recognised research profile in organometallic chemistry, you will have the ability to lead, manage and attract funds for internationally leading research from a range of funding sources including industry.

You will also be able to manage and interact with staff and students at all levels, and will demonstrate commitment to the delivery of teaching excellence and the advancement and strategic development of the Department of Chemistry.
