Job Title : Certification EngineerSalary : £32,000- £42,500 per annumLocation : Cwmbran Aeropeople are currently recruiting a Certification Engineer on behalf of our client, a market leader in the design, manufacture and certification of aircraft interiors to join their successful team in Cwmbran.

The company focuses on high end products and supports its airline customers throughout the product’s life cycle.Working hours will be 8am-
4.30pm, Monday- Thursday and 8am- 1.30pm on Fridays. Main Responsibilities :
Plan, conduct and document structural tests (crashworthiness, structural integrity and reliability tests) for Company’s aircraft interior products.
Prepare certification documentation (test plans and reports) on time in full for regulatory and installer approval.
Advise other business functions on certification issues throughout the design and development phases to achieve a safe and reliable product.
Liaise with authorities, regulatory bodies and airframe manufacturers on certification issues.
Prepare applications and data packages for the regulatory authorities and installers for approval of products.
Assist with solving production issues relating to certification.
Maintain the continued airworthiness of existing products in service.
Represent the certification department at meetings with customers, installers and regulatory authorities

Mechanical / Aeronautical / Structural Engineering degree is essential
Previous experience working in a structures / stress role in the aerospace industry is also essential

Experienced in writing specification and reports
Computer literate with MS Office Software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Projects etc)
Ability to perform structural hand calculations and understand FEA results
Detailed understanding and working knowledge of mechanical structures and load paths
Preparation of test articles, conducting test programmes, and organising test facilities
