MP is Myprotein’s clothing business, we're relatively new, we’re ambitious and growing fast! We need a talented team player to develop and execute our content strategy with a focus on growing and building the channels with exciting, creative content that engages and inspires our consumer.
Social & Content Manager :
The Role :
You will be responsible for the creation and execution of our content strategy across all digital channels, you will also manage and nurture the content apprentice as your direct report.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring consistent growth across the focus channels, as well as using social media best practice to create visual, moving and written content that is relevant to the audience.
You will consistenly deliver the brand’s tone of voice and create campaigns that are relevant, informative and add value to our consumer on their training journey.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and support the creation of all social and ecomm product content.
Ensure visual and written content is created in line with MP’s brand guidelines.
Ensure MP’s social media output is planned, relevant, engaging and aimed at our target personas.
Ensure all written content is search engine optimised, specifically for ecomm product overviews, collection pages and blog pieces.
Own all of MP’s social media channels as well at the MP.com blog.
Work with the in-house creative team to brief in asset creation to support brand campaigns and always-on digital content.
Drive the process of creating content to support the brand marketing calendar.
Plan, evaluate and monitor Health / Nutrition / Clothing trends to ensure dialogue with our consumer is current and relevant.
Work with the partnerships executive to activate MP’s athlete, PT and influencer roster ensuring we integrate them into campaign and always-on content.
Develop the infrastructure and drive positive change of current processes.
Measure and evaluate success including monthly reports and regular team updates.
Ensure all content is factually correct and drive the continuous development of all social and content channels.
Ensure social media activity is regularly audited to ensure quality and consistency.
A degree or professional diploma in a relevant area Brand or Digital Marketing (Preferred)
Previous experience within a similar role
3+ years in Social Media / Content
Creative flair and a passion to create engaging content and campaigns across multiple social, blog and website platforms.
Proven record of delivering exceptional social engagement and driving growth across multiple social channels
Strong interest in digital and content marketing and understanding of how this can be used to drive measurable business outcomes.
Sound understanding of SEO / keyword optimisation and HTML.
Able to bring new ideas and proposals to execute with excellence across our owned digital channels and to provide valued input into marketing plans.
Proactive mind-set and can-do attitude. Be able to identify opportunities and pursue them with speed.
Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment.
Competent using basic design software (Desirable but Non-essential)
Passion for sports and an understanding of the sports and fitness consumer.
