Nestlé is one of the largest food companies in the world operating in almost 200 countries worldwide, supporting 2,000+ brands across diverse sectors including Infant Nutrition, Confectionery, Dairy, Coffee, Waters, Culinary products and Pet Care.

Their product portfolio contains some of the famous and global household names such as Nescafé, Nespresso, Kit Kat, San Pellegrino, Maggi and Purina, to name a few.

Job purpose :

Within marketing and communications, Nestlé works predominately with three key global partners : WPP, Publicis and IPG. The media assignment is split geographically across the media arms of these global partners, such as GroupM for WPP.

Within GroupM, all agencies have a share of the business different agencies manage the Nestlé account locally. The global media team working on Nestlé is docked at Mindshare Worldwide but works across and supports all other GroupM networks involved on the business including but not limited to Mindshare, Mediacom, Wavemaker and Openmind (a standalone agency for Nestlé in the US / Canada).

This makes this role uniquely a GroupM position and provides an opportunity to understand practices across the other agencies.

  • With many markets and even more brands, it is a very varied role, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include;
  • Assist the Account Managers on ad hoc client / market requests to help source information and address local / global needs.
  • This ranges from competitive analysis reports, case studies and media plan requests

  • Develop a key understanding of digital media
  • Become familiar with Mindshare and Nestlé Insights tools in order to run data when markets or clients request it
  • Collect and collate best practice and case studies from our local planning teams and share these across our network
  • Help manage the internal Nestlé account SharePoint
  • Oversee weekly team meetings and support the team with category, consumer and business updates
  • Delivering monthly spend reports using media plan entry tools including managing markets to input data correctly
  • Provide day to day support to the Strategy Lead on Nestlé’s planning process, including supporting our local markets, maintaining workshop schedules, distributing workshop materials and running training session calls with new and existing markets
  • Assist and own administration tasks required; pro-actively drive improvements to ways of working that ensure a smooth running of the account.
  • Key skills & competencies :

  • Consistently strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrates a high degree of accuracy even when under pressure
  • Organized and efficient with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Someone who’s not afraid to speak up and give his / her opinion, with the ability to use, monitor and question data to deliver the best outcome
  • Desire to work within a team environment, able to take direction from various members of the team (including Client Leadership, Digital and Strategy) and action accordingly
  • Aims to be solution rather than problem driven
  • Some experience in the industry and a basic understanding of the media landscape is preferred
  • Cultural awareness and research of trends within our industry
  • Contributing ideas, articles and inspiration to raise our company profile
  • A collaborative self-starter who is keen to take on challenges with enthusiasm as well as the ability to deliver the basics accurately and on time
  • Good numerical skills and people skills
