WHAT TO EXPECT
This is an exciting opportunity to join Jaguar Land Rover's Finance Team to lead the Group Accounting function. This is a key role where the group is looking strengthen its reporting capability by appointing a high-calibre, technically strong, Group Finance Manager.
This role offers broad exposure to senior management and the CFO at JLR as well as parent company Tata Motors Limited ("TML").
IN THE ROLE YOU'LL
The role of Head of Group Technical Accounting is to lead the teams who are responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of Jaguar Land Rover's financial reporting, as well as driving process improvement.
This role will be managing 6 direct reports and looking after the group technical accounting, consolidation and reporting teams.
Main responsibilities :
Key to the role will be to identify process efficiency opportunities and recommend a programme of continuous improvement in controls and reporting quality.
Working together with R2R team to strengthen data integrity and compliance to enhance the control of the data and reduction, elimination and reliance on spreadsheets.
You will drive performance targets and KPIs with the Group Accounting Director and direct reports, monitoring process performance.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You will be degree educated, with a Professional Accountancy qualification (IFRS expertise required, Public Limited Company reporting and / or SEC experience desired).
You will have experience in finance senior leadership roles in multi-national, multi-function organisations and previously led large financial reporting teams.
You will be experienced in developing and leading teams in the area of continuous improvement and performance excellence, with demonstrable ability to provide teams with a clear sense of direction.
You will have superior communication skills to influence, motivate, and manage diverse groups of stakeholders, with strong and effective written, verbal and presentation skills.
You will be comfortable -rolling up your sleeves- and immersing yourself in the detail. This role requires flexible thinking and a dynamic, innovative approach as new business challenges arise, as well as constantly looking for ways to move existing processes forward and create simple solutions to complex problems.
