Job Purpose

The Governance, Risk & Compliance (Application) System Manager is responsible forthe maintenance and development of the GRC system which underpins the CPU RiskFramework and Function.

Working across numerous business and technology teamsand in close collaboration with senior risk, audit and information security stakeholdersyou will be responsible for ensuring that the GRC system is maintained withinagreed SLAs.

You will be responsible for delivering requireddevelopments / projects which reflect CPUs maturing risk processes.

BusinessKnowledge and Experience

  • Specialistexperience of operational risk and one or more supporting technologies.
  • An in-depthunderstanding of current and emerging industry risk processes riskmanagement, issue management, control types, control assurance, operationalrisk events, risk appetite, Key Risk Indictors.
  • Capable offostering collaborative working relationships with multiple areas and complexbusiness lines.
  • Understandingof the difference between operational and enterprise risk.
  • Ability tounderstand and translate technology, risk and security requirements intobusiness terms;
  • Excellentcommunication (both written and oral), influencing and negotiation skills, andthe ability to influence and challenge senior leadership;
  • Pragmatic,logical thinker with good analytical and interpersonal skills;
  • Technology / Business Application Experience

  • Experience of managing within a global support and development team;
  • Proven experience of management of complex systems and technologies in alarge scale business;
  • Ability to deliver under pressure;
  • Understanding of relational databases;
  • Change Management;
  • Release Management;
  • 3rd party tech vendors; and
  • Project and Support Management.
  • Experience with RSA Archer is desirable but not essential
  • Responsibilities

    The primary purpose of this role is to enable the business through thesystem to identify and understand the key areas that drive risk within theirBusiness areas, as well as regulatory influence on the business strategy anddaily operations.

    The specific responsibilities include :

  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of the GRC system to deliver the strategic global framework and associated tools and reporting.
  • Ensure that the implemented framework is monitored and updated in line with organisational and legislative changes.
  • Ensure the system is developed to identify risks to be assessed and monitored appropriately to highlight and drive prioritisation of systemic issues globally within business areas.
  • Drive implementation to provide a proactive risk culture across the entire organisation.

    As this is a global position, the role willbe required to attend conference call meetings outside of normal office hoursand take occasional international business trips.
