Richmond upon Thames College is looking for a Marketing and Design Co-ordinator to join our Marketing Department. The college is currently building a new £80 million campus on our existing site in Twickenham, with an intention to grow so this is an exciting time to be working with us.
The Marketing Department’s mission is to facilitate the college’s student recruitment process and your role will be to assist with promoting a positive image of Richmond upon Thames College.
You will take a responsibility for design and production of marketing materials.
You will help to promote Richmond upon Thames College to key stakeholders, particularly prospective students, parents, employers andapprentices.
To effectively work with colleagues on planning and promoting the college (as a whole and for specific areas, activities, students) and helping develop practical and engaging targeted marketing communications.
Your main duties will include :
To design and produce creative offline college marketing collateral within agreed deadlines for all areas of the college e.
g. posters, flyers, small booklets in line with key marketing messages
To design and produce creative digital marketing collateral within agreed deadlines for all areas of the college e.g. website banners, Moodle banners, social media promotions in line with key marketing messages
To work with members of the marketing team on planning and content of creatives for specific digital campaigns e.g. New Year adult courses, National Apprenticeships Week
To undertake the collection, collation and dissemination of market data and statistics for use as market research - to include : Local labour market intelligence Competitors portfolios and fee levels Comprehensive data on current students Student evaluation Student results Parent / employer evaluation
To coordinate the collection of updated course information and additional information for the website and course guide on an annual basis.
To work with marketing team on production, editing and proofing of major marketing publications e.g. course guides
To be responsible for website administration including posting and updating all course information
To be responsible for updating the marketing area on the college intranet (Sharepoint).
To work as a key member in the planning, preparation and delivery of college events e.g. open evenings including production and putting up signage, updating noticeboards and display materials.
To contribute to and participate in any initiatives promoting the college and its courses. This will include tours of the college, visits to schools, careers events, FE fairs this may involve some evening work.
To be responsible for collating information for direct mailing purposes and to undertake the production and distribution of direct mailings to parents, prospective students, employers etc.
To liaise with college staff on content and design of marketing materials e.g., case studies, student successes and results, apprenticeships key facts
To be responsible for design and production of offline and online marketing displays e.g. reception plasma screen, stands in reception area, open event standard to work with other members of staff on the production of display materials.
To co-ordinate the key college noticeboards and ensure that they contain correct up to date information and reflect the college’s activities e.
g. case studies / photographs
To co-ordinate the department’s online photographic library and key brand assets and act as a key contact for colleagues and external publications.
To act as a brand guardian for all online and offline marketing collateral and content in line with agreed marketing strategies and ensure that the college corporate image is adhered to in all publicity and promotional materials.
To deal with suppliers regarding the purchase of promotional goods e.g. pens, bags etc and ensuring adequate stock and supply of marketing collateral.
Ensuring exemplary customer service (internal and external) and maintaining a professional focus at all times
You will have previous experience of working in a support role within a marketing environment, excellent interpersonal skills and good attention to details.
The ability to work well with a team with a record of working co-operatively to achieve individual and team goals is also essential.
The interviews for this role will take place on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 June.
