The position of Pricing Manager sits within our Group Trading function. This function is responsible for simplifying the interface between the markets and Category teams, helping create local trading plans whilst delivering one consistent proposition across our markets.

The Pricing team itself make sure our product prices are consistent across all our brands so they offer the best possible value and are affordable to everyone.


The Pricing Manager will build and lead the development of the Pricing agenda to ensure our stores (physical and digital) grow accelerated sales, net margin and our customer base.

We will position Kingfisher as the top of mind home improvement destination in all our countries, basing our prices on customer value perception and materially lowering prices year on year.

Your role will be to understand the group pricing strategy, whilst also understanding customer value perception and affordability in each of our markets.

You will build strong relationships with your OpCo counterparts to ensure up to date knowledge of market trends and consumer / competitor behaviour, and identify the meaningful price investment products in your category which will drive customer behaviour and make home improvement accessible.

You will work with the range teams to ensure they understand and can apply the group pricing strategy and rules, whilst also working with the range teams to build price hierarchies which meet customer needs.

You will also work in partnership with OpCo teams, define the price co-efficient to translate OSC recommended prices into affordable local prices for your category


If you’re someone who has impeccable attention to detail, who isn’t phased by large data sets and is able to work autonomously in a fast-

paced environment, this could be the role and organisation for you.

Previous experience working with value-based pricing strategy would be a real advantage alongside an understanding of drivers of price perception.

If you are someone with experience in financial reporting and a clear understanding of the make-up of net margin then this will definately be of use!

We are looking for someone who is comfortable going beyond boundaries, who is a strategic networker that seeks win-win solutions, and drives a One Kingfisher way of working.

You will be liaising with a number of different internal stakeholders that range from your team and Pricing Managers, to the Range and Product teams and senior Managers / Directors so being a confident communicator with the ability to build strong rapports and credibility will be essential.

The role of Pricing Manager allows you to work with colleagues from different countries and cultures. Whilst the position is based in our Southampton (UK) office on occasion you may have the opportunity to travel to other offices including, Yeovil, London and France.
