One of the ways we share the message work we carry out it is via our Communications team. To help us continue of creating content to share via our external channels, we are now seeking an Associate Director, External Communications to join the Corporate Communications team.

This role is key in driving forward the strategy within communication and maximising opportunities.

  • Key Responsibilities;
  • Building relationships with and supporting communicator network to ensure alignment and maximise impact of communications across the region
  • Ensuring and promoting digital channel operational excellence, governance and compliance among EST-C colleagues / communicator network working with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensuring tracking and measurement of activity against agreed KPIs and reporting via team dashboard
  • Building relationships with global communications colleagues to identify opportunities to share / repurpose content
  • Building relationships with relevant functions / partners across the business to surface key opportunities and secure internal stakeholder support for timely approval and delivery
  • Champion of corporate branding / Ensure suite of materials fit for purpose for affiliates
  • Day to day performance management of agency partner, ensuring communications programme / digital deliverables are timely and within budget and evaluated robustly
  • Key member of communications leadership team supporting Senior Director, nurturing team development, culture and innovation
  • Driving operational excellence and continuous improvement within team, ensuring media monitoring platform functionality / reporting is maximised, audience engagement, media presence and digital performance is tracked and measured and reported via team dashboard.
  • Working with cross functional colleagues such as Government Affairs and Patient Partnerships to ensure relevant activity with corporate reputational equity is supported and amplified
  • Responsible for issues preparation and management as necessary, deputising for Senior Director in relation to BCP / Pan European Crisis Team participation as appropriate.
  • Skills & Experience;
  • Ideally significant experience in pharma sector communications experience

    Ability to devise, plan and execute strategic communications

    Strong proven track record of delivering digital strategy / communications activity, metrics and evaluation

    Ability to devise strategic external / corporate communications to support business goals·

    Proven compliance expertise; to understand and comply with industry laws and relevant regulations and work productively with E&C / legal reviewers.

    Proven ability to build relationships with external stakeholders such as patient groups, media, HCPs, payers

    Proven ability to deliver large integrated multi-stakeholder, multi-channel communications programmes

    Proven ability to influence a diverse portfolio of stakeholders.
