Description

The Senior Sales Engineer is a critical component of the sales team in the region and has a primary responsibility to drive technical sales activities in new and existing opportunities in Service Provider and large Enterprise accounts.

A Senior Sales Engineer will have in-depth, hands-on experience with products and services, as well as competitor's products and services, and can demonstrate solid networking and security skills to customers and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide both strategic and day-to-day technical expertise and support for sales opportunities in the region.
  • Develop strong technical relationships at the highest levels with customers and partners.
  • Develop solutions with partners combining Gigamon Visibility and Security Delivery Platforms and Gigamon ecosystem partners to solve customer problems.
  • Perform in-depth technical presentations for customers, partners and events.
  • Design Security and network monitoring architectures to solve customer problems.
  • Responsible from design to completion for all customer demonstrations, proof of concept, and product evaluations.
  • Contribute to the development of customer account plans with the sales team and leverage the account plans to further achieve business and revenue objectives.
  • Communication driver between Field and Corporate on technical issues.
  • Work with channel managers to identify, qualify, and develop opportunities together with Gigamon partners.
  • Develop technical expertise within the partner SE community by delivering leading edge technical presentations and training on the company products and solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of customer account plans with the sales team and leverage the account plans to further achieve business and revenue objectives.
  • Focus on customer driven solutions rather selling point products.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor Degree in a technical area (Computer Science, Computer Engineering); or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years experience in a Pre-Sales Engineer role in Network Security or Networking.
  • Experience of VMWare, OpenStack, Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure is desirable.
  • Experience working with Service Providers and large Enterprise customers would be an advantage.
  • Experience in a customer facing role.
  • Effective technical presentation skills.
  • Good Communication capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel to customers throughout the UK with occasional international travel.
