About the role

The position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team.

You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will also build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders.

The role involves providing a physical presence on urban train services and at train stations across the Perth train network, inspecting passenger tickets and issuing infringements when appropriate.

Candidates will be required to commit and successfully complete two weeks of training with our client between before proceeding to employment.

Training will be run from 1 - 12 November 2021.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the shortage of staffing, attractive retention bonus to be paid to all attendees of the November course at 6 & 12 months of service.

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Responsibilities

As a Revenue Protection Officer your primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to :

  • Performing static and patrol duties across the Perth train network
  • Inspecting passenger tickets
  • Issuing of infringements in accordance with policies and training
  • Customer service duties such as answering queries from the public, providing directions etc.
  • Resolving conflicts and disputes where required
  • Completing incident reports where required
  • Assisting Transit Officers when requested
  • Skills and Experience

  • Current WA Security license
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Certificate II in Security Operations
  • Current WA Driver’s License
  • Valid and unrestricted working rights
  • A current National Police Clearance no more than three (3) months old
  • Previous security experience is preferred
  • The successful candidates will also have :

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including neat and legible hand writing
  • Advanced conflict and dispute resolution skills and self-control
  • High standards of presentation and grooming
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment
  • Integrity and sound judgement
  • Ability to patrol and walk for up to 10 hour shifts
