Why this role matters
The successful applicant will be a key influencer of our employee experience in the complex and specialist people policies we support.
They will be using their employee relations expertise to steer people managers to create an engaged and retained workforce focussed on a great customer experience and minimise / mitigate legal risks.
What you'll be doing
You’ll be accountable for managing a designated unit's client relationship and provisioning HR support of the more complex and high risk people policies within our proposition.
You’ll minimise risk to the business and be a custodian of the employee experience through consistent application, resolution or sanction of :
Formal Resolutions including terminations
Reorganisation & Redundancy
ACAS Early Conciliation
Paid Leaver and Exits
You’ll manage multi-stakeholder relationships and use a mix of anecdotal and data based insights to highlight trends and define creative solutions to business problems and make things simple.
You’ll interface in to numerous stakeholders including ER, Reward HS & W and BT Legal to name a few.
You’ll use your influence and foster great reciprocal relationships with your clients and energise them to feel inspired to achieve our ambitions.
You’ll be a key player and input to ER implications of any complex case or local programmes, ensuring impact assessment on employee experience and ET risk.
You’ll maintain your knowledge and expertise to steer people managers in a changing environment, ensuring you are up to date with employment law and ET case findings by maintain great relationships with BT legal.

Experience of people and / or operational management
Employee Relations and Employment Law & Equality Act
Experience in a volume environment
Experienced in delivery to KPI / SLA
Ability to build good working relationships remotely
