Lockheed Martin Corporation
Ampthill - Bedfordshire

Job Description

In addition to the provision of technical support to long established UK and US stakeholders, the Special Projects Business Area is embarking on a broad range of new, exciting and technically challenging opportunities.

These opportunities are in a range of study domains including space based and conventional weapon systems and emerging commercial space ventures in addition to related R&D activities.

There is a significant amount of work which will require several Modelling and Simulation (M&S) focused systems engineers to join the team to work across the entire spectrum of exciting activities.

Critical for success is the judicious, informed and focused application of M&S tools and techniques to build system understanding and quantify performance and thereby inform design as a function of operational regime, system design and external dependencies.

Business Environment

Lockheed Martin (UK) Ampthill is a rapidly changing, dynamic part of the Lockheed Martin Corporation with both domestic and international customers.

It consists of three business areas focussing on Vehicles, Special Projects and Mission Support, which provide a variety of products and services to the MoD and other customers.

We are looking for talented individuals with demonstrable experience in delivering complex, high value, critical components and services from suppliers to complement the team delivering existing programmes and pursuit of new opportunities.

In return, we can offer an exciting and challenging career path. Please note that the LMUK Ampthill working pattern is a 9 day fortnight with the site closed every second Friday.
