Detailed Job Specification
We have a fantastic opportunity for a desktop support engineer to join a well-established company in Maidstone.
Duties shall include, but not be limited to :
Diagnosing and troubleshooting desktop system, printer and operating problems and understanding printer Fonts
Consulting and instructing users on hardware and software questions / issues Collaborate with other IT Services Data Center and Network Infrastructure teams Install, maintain and upgrade equipment and its associated infrastructure
Run diagnostic tests to isolate system problems as well as proactive activities MS Office (Windows and Mac) software. Details will be agreed during Transition

Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems including forming an RCA Responds to telephone calls, email, service tickets, and dispatched requests for technical support
Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution within SLA
Installs, configure and maintain Mac, PC, peripherals (local and network printers, scanners), and other end user equipment such as Blackberries, iPhones and iPads,Macbooks, Laptops Details will be agreed during Transition
Hands and feet support for Server, Storage, Backup Network equipment and IPT end points
Troubleshooting basic application issues, and also deeper diagnosis under direction from remote teams
Support of administrative activities and tasks
Perform install and configuration activities and tasks of system components
Support Clients in second level support when dispatched by NTT Data
Technician will update designated ITSM tool with current status and work effort
Must have proven customer service background. Good communication skills.
Needs to interact with the Customer Site Contact in advance of service delivery
Assist in resolving technical escalations that arise during service delivery
Required Skills :
Microsoft certified System Administrator in XP / WIN 7 / Win 10
Experience supporting HP, Canon and Xerox printers
Good working knowledge of Active Directory
2+ years’ experience providing technical support in a fast paced and constantly changing environment up to executive management level.
Excellent customer service and communication skills including providing VIP support
Experience supporting large Windows-based environments to desktop level with emphasis on Win 7 OS / office 2010 as well as Win 10 and O365
Support video conferencing units.
Support of mobile devices
Hands and feet support for Server, Storage, Backup & Network equipment
Experience in troubleshooting basic application issues, and also deeper diagnosis under direction from remote teams
Hands on experience removing viruses and spyware using various tools (Windows)
Proven experience utilizing data and settings migration, imaging, application installation, and technologies
Able to comprehend and follow verbal and written technical instructions and scripts
Experience with Remote Support technologies such as Remote Desktop
