Oneline, part of the Adler and Allan Group, provides highly specialised surveys of underground infrastructure, as well as cleaning, handling and uplift of hazardous liquid waste from industrial tanks and sewers.
Oneline has over 30 years of combined experience planning, mobilising and successfully completing large scale surveying and cleaning projects, including tank and siphon cleaning and confined space entries.
The Role :
An opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced and capable individual to join the team, based in Wellington, Somerset.
The post holder will be required to operate any Company vehicle for which they are suitably qualified to undertake. As the duties of this post constitute those of a professional driver, all operation of Company vehicles must be Undertaken in a safe manner and fully compliant with all relative law and legislation.
In addition, the postholder will undertake duties associated with that of a recycler operator.
The key tasks and accountabilities associated with the post are as follows :
Working in teams and on your own on various Wastewater / Water Treatment Works and associated infrastructure throughout various water authorities and associated companies.
Complete work efficiently and on time to be able to complete complex work in challenging environments whilst following all codes of practice / RAMS.
Works to be carried out in accordance with health and safety to include provided RAMS documentation. The postholder holds full responsibility for reading and signing such documentation.
Manual Handling, Carrying Suction Hose, cleaning up spillages and removing debris using brushes, shovels etc.
Working on various Large Tanks, Wet Wells, Siphons and other Wastewater assets when required.
Cleaning of sewer and storm lines using a high pressure recycling unit.
Operating Company vehicles including HGV & ADR class vehicles or any other vehicle for which the postholder is suitably qualified to operate and full responsibility for ensuring all vehicle checks is undertaken prior to commencing any works.
Compliance with tachograph regulations and reporting in the required manner.
Insuring your vehicle and equipment is kept clean, tidy & secure, and any defects are reported immediately.
Ensuring a clean and tidy appearance as far as reasonably possible within the environment the post holder works in, wearing appropriate uniform and PPE where required (provided PPE must be maintained and any defects reported)
Be part of the on call rota, which will include being available at certain times including evenings, weekends and bank holidays (at overtime rate).
This is timetabled on a rotational basis to ensure a fair & safe distribution of work.
Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to depot supervision, including but not limited to;
vehicle daily checks, job tickets & timesheets.
Complete all relevant training required for the role, including but not limited to CSCS & Confined Space.
This list is not exhaustive, and the postholder will be expected to undertake any other duties for which they are qualified for and capable of undertaking.
Role Requirements :
Must possess a full UK driving licence
Must possess relative licence categories (clean & valid) to operate and control HGVs, with preferably 2 or more years experience of driving an HGV
Valid CPC card and knowledge of filling in a drivers logbook
Previous knowledge and experience of completing RAMS documentation would be advantageous but not essential.
Willingness to undertake any additional training to increase capability of the division in supplying a service to customers.
Previous experience is not essential as full training is provided, but prior knowledge would be helpful / or experience of a related industry.
Willingness to work outside in a range of environments in a variety of weather conditions, in an environment that can be considered as unpredictable and dirty, and includes working with raw sewage.
Flexibility to respond to the reactive nature of the industry (which will include an on-call rota and regular overtime).
