Role Overview :
Your efforts will primarily be focussed on helping develop and drive the technical capabilities within the Data Governance unit, supporting the development of data management, BI strategy, and governance processes across key data assets business-wide.
Working closely with the big data and data engineering teams, to map and provide the necessary data to support the business reporting and data insight needs.
This role will report to the VP, Head of Data Governance.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Facilitate automation of DQ measurements and KPIs
Implements processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
Performs data analysis required to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in their resolution.
Creation of data models to facilitate self-servicedata-driven decision making.
Collaborates with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making across the organisation.
Collaborate with Information / Data Architecture andother data management disciplines.
Works closely with all business units and engineering teams to develop a strategy for long term data platform architecture.
You will use proven datawarehousing and dimensional modelling skills to bring together data frommultiple sources and provide well-governed golden source data solutions forinterrogation, managing the data pipeline and ELT processes to ensure that datais gathered quickly, correctly and in a secure manner.
You will be able to assess, innovate and recommendnew technologies or approaches to help deliver a higher quality solution
You will work closely with SMEs / BAs to help definetechnical requirements, develop and enhance functionality, be involved intechnical design discussions, solve technical issues, influence dataarchitecture and test work to completion.
You will be required to identify and discussbusiness intelligence and management reporting requirements with business usersof all disciplines and levels of seniority, analyse those requirements andmanage data and reporting functionality to the primary goal of improving dataintelligence.
It is a requirement for you to document alltechnical and system specification documents for all ELT processes and deployedsolutions, perform unit tests on all processes and prepare required scripts andevidence.
Key Requirements for this Role :
History of delivering business intelligence and data analytics solutions
Ability to build and manage data processing pipelines and analytics solutions; including the development and deployment of processes to support a data engineering CI / CD framework.
Demonstrable skills in data systems, system architecture, database concepts, warehousing and data modelling techniques and related methodologies (Kimball, 3NF).
Cloud Database experience (Snowflake, Redshift, Azure). Preferably Snowflake.
Excellent understanding of the Microsoft BI Stack including SQL Server technologies (T-SQL, DDL and DML) and Power BI
You will have had experience in previous data transformation programmes and will have an excellent working knowledge of data flows, data quality and data governance principles.
Ability to write complex SQL queries.
Experience designing data models for analytical querying.

Understanding of the principles of IT security and data protection
Self-motivation and ability to work without intense supervision
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills with stakeholder management experience
Ability to work with remote teams from a variety of backgrounds and with differing skillsets
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate to technical requirements.
