Communications and Engagement Communications and Engagement (C&E) is a distinct practice and skillset within our business change offer in PAS (Performance).

It is a growth area with untapped potential to become an integral part of many PAS and Advisory client engagements. EY’s C&E team in PAS is a diverse group of expert practitioners who collaborate to deliver targeted communications solutions to engage employees and stakeholders through times of transformational change.

They are a client facing team who have cross-sector experience reaching different employee groups across complex, global environments.

Our clients come from all sectors and value the insights we bring about how they can design and deliver communications strategies that connect employees and external stakeholders to their change agenda.

Every programme faces an election campaign’ it must win and communications and engagement activities make this possible, helping the business engage employees with a powerful narrative and support them in being ready to accept change.

Communications & Engagement is a real differentiator that adds value, generates revenue and promotes our brand. It has been identified as an area of growth as clients increasingly require advice on how to effectively engage employees using a broad range of solutions during periods of transformation.

Your key responsibilities : In this role, your responsibilities will include core consulting and programme within communications & engagement, project management activities will also include :

  • Contribute to the delivery of projects and programmes to meet and exceed client expectations
  • Be able to analyse problems and to deliver insightful, practical and sustainable solutions
  • Contribute to the development of a culture service, engagement offering and people strategies
  • Identify and innovate ways to expand our PAS service offerings to clients, to positively impact current engagements
  • Take a practical approach to solving issues and gaining client agreement
  • Take ownership for initiatives to promote inclusive and collaborative working within client engagements and within the wider PAS community
  • Ability to identify and build new opportunities and client relationships
  • Good insight of the market and consulting purchasing trend
  • Assist with the integration and inclusion of new team members
  • Be up to date with key technical and functional skills, and with industry, business and leadership skills & knowledge -
  • and share this expertise with others

  • Be skilled in facilitating and encouraging collaboration amongst team members, and is capable of motivating teams to maximise performance
  • Be confident and effective in recognising and managing potential issues during client assignments
  • To qualify for the role you must have

  • Proven experience in communications from industry and / or agency delivering communications strategy, channels, senior stakeholder engagement in a complex, multi-
  • stakeholder environment

    Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Operational communications experience within a large, complex, multinational organisation is desirable, but not essential
  • No requirement for sector specialisation but strong insight into one or more of the following is desirable : Technology, Government & Public Sector, Infrastructure, Energy, Utilities, Consumer Products & Industrial Products, Media & Entertainment, Financial Services, Healthcare
  • Qualifications such as CIPR, Melcrum or other professional Communications / Public Relations / Internal Communications qualifications would be of interest but are not essential
