You don’t really need to have any of the above interests or dancing skills but you do need to answer yes to the below questions :
You will be responsible for the day to day livelihood of these individuals and will help with medication, finances and daily living tasks.
These individuals like to be fully involved in everything that is happening with their lives and need you to ensure this happens for them.
Another big part of being a support worker is being a big part of the fun! One of the guys we support has booked his first ever flight and he is so excited, you could be supporting him on his first ever flight.
Another one of the people we support loves to dance at the club so you can expect to be busting some moves! Creating memories is one of the really rewarding parts of being a support worker.
Relief Support Workers must be flexible in the hours that they can work, as support can be required 24 hours a day, however you can choose to work the shifts that suit.
You will work on a flexible basis in a way that suits you and the people that we support, but shifts will include weekends and bank holidays with sleep-ins as well.
One of the most amazing things about being a Support Worker is that anyone can do it! As long as you have a positive attitude and want to improve the lives of those with a learning disability, we will support you with progression opportunities throughout your career with us.
