Warehouse Operative Willand, near Cullompton

We are looking for an additional Warehouse Operative in Willand to help maintain the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a range of goods.

This role will form a vital part of the supply chain process to ensure goods are appropriately received, logged on the system and dispatched to the correct location.

You will also be responsible helping maintain the workplace health and safety standards.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent inter-personal skills in order to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, as well as an ability to think logically and work outside.

You will work with a number of different departments and will need the ability to prioritise when necessary.

Key Roles :

  • Maintain an organised and efficient warehouse that meets the needs and requirements of the business and ensure compliance with health and safety at work act
  • Be competent in logging all stock movements out of the warehouse using the current logging out systems
  • Manage stock levels alongside supervisor and warehouse management. Highlight low stock etc'
  • Assist in all stocktakes and audits
  • Unload and load vehicles efficiently and safely using mechanical and manual means.
  • Ensure correct compliance with all safety requirements by wearing PPE etc this includes ensuring all visitors into the Yard / warehouse are compliant.
  • Control waste management to ensure effective segregation of waste, and recycling, ensuring minimal goes to landfill. Control waste collections and emptying of skips.
  • Maintain highest level of Housekeeping and litter picking of all areas.
  • Winter safety using grit bins removal of snow and ice from walkways.
  • Assist in managing return of faulty goods and equipment.
  • Maintain hired in plant stock lists
  • Carry out all reasonable tasks issued from supervisor and warehouse manager
  • Carryout daily and weekly checks of plant and machinery, including greasing etc. maintain records.
  • Be competent and willing to learn computer systems. Respond to emails in a timely manner
  • Maintain all COSHH requirements for the warehouse.
  • Have a can do attitude, be willing and pro active. See an issue deal with it!!
  • Skills / Qualifications :

  • Organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • A positive can-do' attitude and an honest disposition
  • IT literate with an ability to pick up new systems
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items
  • Interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively build strong relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Logical reasoning and numerical skills
  • Desirable :

  • Telehandler or Forklift experience full training can be provided for those without.
